Here's a little useless detail for those of you playing the home game.
The holes for the little metric mini-pots that come in the guitars as standard equipment have to be reamed out to larger diameters for big ol' American upgrades. There are three standard bit sizes that get used a lot.
On the left, for the toggle switch, is a 1/2" bit.
In the center, for a standard Bourns or CTS pot, is a 3/8" bit.
Finally, on the right, for the Kill Switch, is a reduced-shank 5/8" bit.
And yes, I run the motor in reverse to ream out the holes. It slows down the process and helps me make a nice, clean hole.
BTW, I'm not on DeWalt's payroll; I just like their drill bits.
