A blended heart made from the art of 1000 Visual Mashups!

A celebration of the 1000th work of art being added to the Visual Mashups pool, and the hearts of 100 Visual Mashup artists!

 

This image is a processed blend of some of the most "interesting" red hearts on flickr, then converted to a mosaic using almost every single one of the first 1000 images added to the Visual Mashups pool - from red and pink to black and white, from mosaics of flowers and roses to abstract fractal landscapes!

When the Visual Mashups group was 2 months old and had 200 artists, I continued the concept of this heart of art mosaic, creating a second digital mosaic, containing 2000 works of art, in "Two of Arts" here:
