An adult little blue heron (Egretta caerulea) teaching a youngster how to hunt for crabs. Juvenile little blue herons are pure white. As they age, they become mottled blue and white, eventually molting into their adult blue color. This one is receiving expert training on Munyon Island at John D MacArthur Beach State Park.
