Tick Tock
Behind this 'Balloon Clock' looms an antique classic: the 19th century 'American Student Lamp'. Another oil lamp from the same period is on the right. Both have been electrified. Processed in PS.
This is another four flash setup triggered by a Canon ST-E3 RT Speedlite Transmitter:
- Flash #1 in a 20-inch softbox on the left, at the same height as the clock at a distance of 12 inches.
- Flash #2 is in a 14-inch softbox on the right at the same height about 18” from the clock.
- Flash #3, bare flash, minimal power, sitting dead centre about two feet from the clock on a flat white bounce card which itself extends to about 8 inches in front of the clock, providing a little front fill on the clock legs.
- Flash #4 is a 'Morris' Mini Slave Flash (about the size of a golf ball) with three stops of ND gel. It sits behind the lamp on the right. It provides the slash of light on the right casting a shadow on the foot of the clock. And it highlights the glass objects at the rear between the clock and the right lamp.
- White bounce card #2 is suspended again roof-like atop the two soft boxes, sloping downwards to the rear.
BTW, if you can find one of these Morris Mini Slaves, grab it! They are very handy! :-)
