Sophia Sewing a Sash

Sophia is making a sash as part of a unit study using Josephina (one of the American Girl dolls). The study included learning about New Mexico, Mexico, hispanic culture and arts, Native Americans who live in the SW U.S., Native American art and culture, cooking, music, deserts (animals, cacti), goats, clothing, and history. This was a very hands-on and fun unit.
