Central Electricity Generating Board Kearsley No3 in the yard at Marley Hill, Tanfield Railway, 8th June 2025. No3 was built by Robert Stephenson & Hawthorns in 1944 (works no. 7078). One of three similar electric locos, which operated at Kearsley Power Station, near Bolton, on a 500v DC electric railway system that connected the power station to the exchange sidings.
