Impressions of the 2nd International Crowdsourcing in National Mapping Workshop 2017 - Leuven, Belgium, April 2017

This is a photograph impression of the workshop, its participants and venue from the 2nd International Crowdsourcing and National Mapping Workshop funded by EuroSDR on 3rd and 4th April 2017 held in the Irish College in Leuven, Belgium. The workshop was co-chaired by Peter Mooney (Ireland), Rob Lemmens (The Netherlands) and Joep Crompvoets (Belgium). The goal of this workshop was to engage with stakeholders from NMCAs, the Geomatics Industry, academic research, software developers, citizens involved in geographic crowdsourcing and VGI, leaders or managers of crowdsourcing or VGI projects over 1.5 days to develop a set of the most prominent and pressing questions related to crowdsourcing and national mapping in Europe (and beyond) today. Overall the workshop was a great success. There were 52 participants from all over Europe including academia, industry, National Mapping and Cadastral Agencies and crowdsourcing projects.
