Hockney phone directory

This is the front cover of British Telecom's 1989/90 Bradford and District phone book. Nothing hugely unusual about that – except that it was designed and illustrated by local boy David Hockney. So quite apart from its everyday local usefulness, the directory rapidly became a worldwide collector's item. Life is art!
