Double Arches - August 1965

A general view of the 'top' pit at Double Arches looking west. Overend Green Farmhouse is on the horizon to the right of the large trees.

The Priestman excavator is the same one seen in an earlier view.

The Ruston Bucyrus 24RB is loading clay overburden into a Whitlock DD70 dumptruck and a Muir-Hill Camill MkII is underway to the tip.
