Peak Basement Systems
Exterior Foundation Tie Beam Placement
This house is not moving downhill in one whole piece. It is moving in pieces. The house is literally coming apart or separating. Mountainside creep is pulling the house apart as it slowly moves the house downhill. Here is a link to a photo and description of mountainside or hillside creep www.flickr.com/photos/usnationalarchives/3972031794/in/ph...
The tie beams are a part of the design that will stablize the house and stop the house from slowing sliding downhill and from being pulled apart. As the name suggests, the house is being tied together by beams.
