Mike & November Companies – Motivational Run – Dec. 3, 2015
Parris Island’s mascot, Cpl. Legend, salutes officers of Mike Company, 3rd Recruit Training Battalion, and November Company, 4th Recruit Training Battalion, during the motivational run on Dec. 3, 2015. Legend is scheduled to participate in the morning colors ceremony and Mike and November Company’s graduation ceremony Dec. 4, 2015. Parris Island has been the site of Marine Corps recruit training since Nov. 1, 1915. Today, approximately 19,000 recruits come to Parris Island annually for the chance to become United States Marines by enduring 13 weeks of rigorous, transformative training.
