Some of AISA-led JNUSUs Key Achievements in the Past Year .

-Getting JNUSUs proposal for elected student representation to AC and BoS passed through JNU AC and EC and protesting against the HRD Ministrys delay in approving it; .

-Ensuring Increase of MCM amount for BA students, extension of MCM to MPhil/MTech/MCA students and increase in Earn While You Learn Posts; .

-Forcing JNU Admin. to reconstitute and revive Harjit Singh Committee set up to enquire into communal violence by ABVP lumpens on 17 August 2004; .

-Initiatives to make remedial courses more effective (such as certificates for students and technical expertise for teachers) .

-Pursuing and Ensuring Extra Rail Reservation Window exclusively for students in rush season and verification of railway concession forms on the campus itself; .

-Increased frequency of shuttle services between down and new campus; .

-Mobilising students to scrap the Nestle Outlet and ensuring that a plan and design for a 24x7 Dhaba has been prepared so that process of allotment of shops through tenders can be started; .

-Ensuring hostels for all male students in P1 category, single-seaters for all JRF-holding women in their own hostels, and Admin. to send a proposal for an additional wing for Mahanadi Married Scholars Hostel; .

-Demanding and ensuring 7 New Exam Centres including Aizawl, Agartala, Gulbarga, Bareilly, New Jalpaiguri, and Admin. agreement for an exam centre in Islamabad subject to Govt. clearance and feasibility. .

-Ensuring Improved Health Centre Facilities: appointment of gynaecologist; agreement that JNU Admin. will send a proposal for more funds and staff to the UGC in order to provide emergency health facilities at the Health Centre; also that JNU Admin. will pursue medical group insurance for emergency hospitalisation charges for students at a nominal premium; .

-Ensuring amendment of MPhil Ordinance to allow physically challenged students to register for a PhD with a CGPA of 5.5 instead of 6, and that a proposal to amend the MPhil ordinance to allow repetition of courses will be placed on the agenda of the next AC Meeting; .

-Clinching of approval of a University-level North East Studies Programme and a Programme in Studies in Discrimination and Exclusion through the AC; .

-Roll Back of Increased Prices of most consumed items at Dhabas and Canteens; .

-Successful agitation against victimisation of CIL Urdu MPhil students, ensuring justice and forcing the guilty Chairperson to step down; .

-Leading a March of students and karamcharis to the HRD Ministry against freeze in appointment of on-teaching staff which results in deteriorating campus facilities; .
