Pseudo-algodón

Esta masa algodonosa crece en el palo borracho (Ceiba chodatii). El fruto "explota" y luego se esparcen las semillas, que están metidas dentro de la masa fibrosa.

 

This pseudo-cotton thing grows on the palo borracho tree (Ceiba chodatii), a kind of kapok tree. This fluffy explosion should be happening around October or November I think, but the weather has been weird.
