2013 Teacher Training AIA Architects in the School
For this workshop, we focused on a little exercise to get the creative juices flowing. Everyone was given a small piece of white card stock and a piece of white paper. After cutting or tearing the paper into random pieces, the group was instructed to place them on their 'site' to create a 3-dimensional volume. Once this was complete, everyone received two scale figures - one large and one small. Using the different figures completely changed the way the space functioned. We had a long discussion about how each space could be used and assigned its positive attributes.
BIG THANKS to AIA Chicago and our mentors!
