1. I’m an only child, but I usually don’t share that information with people right away lest they label me “spoiled” or “self-centered” before they get to know me.
2. I’m soft-hearted about critters of any sort. I don’t even kill bugs in my house.
3. I have a spider phobia.
4. I am afraid of heights. Well, maybe not so much "afraid" as "gets dizzy and feel like wetting my pants." If there is anything on TV involving heights my palms sweat immediately. In fact, my palms started sweating when I thought about heights while typing this. LOL
5. I was a bodybuilder in my 30’s, and it’s something I aspire to do again in the next few years.
6. I’m still haunted by the movie, “I am Legacy” if I get up before it’s light outside. It never bothers me at night.
7. A new girl I met in 7th grade is still my best friend 31 years later. Unfortunately, she lives 1700 miles away.
8. I think it’s admirable to watch very little TV, yet I’ve seen every “Seinfeld” episode at least 5 times, and my cats are named after two fringe characters: Babu and Delores.
9. I saw the Dalai Lama speak in Minneapolis in 2001.
10. My Dad was orphaned at 9 and forced to drop out of high school at 16. He taught himself how to play the piano, harmonica and guitar. He was a wonderful, stubborn, interesting man who marched to the beat of his own drum and usually cheered for the underdog, and I feel like a more interesting person by association.
11. I follow a vegetarian diet 99.9% of the time. The food that most often causes me to fall off the wagon is boneless buffalo wings.
12. I almost always eat very healthy, nutritious food, yet I just ate marshmallow crème from the jar.
13. I love cheese, but I have to keep it out of the house due to my addiction.
14. The older I get the more amazing I think my Mom is. I could do a separate "Tagged" on her. She makes delcious food but hates to cook. She's a 30+ year breast cancer survivor. Growing up, I asked for a terry cloth bathrobe for Christmas no less than 5 times, and she got me a velour one with a zipper every single time. Out of the blue she gave me a terry cloth robe when I was 40!! LOL She spanked me in a store once when I hid from her in a clothes' rack. She must have been panicked, and thus mad, because when a well-meaning woman told her not to spank that "dear child", Mom yelled at her to mind her "own damn business". LOL!! That one still cracks me up. (poor lady and poor Mom)
15. A mosaic I made is displayed with others at Australia Zoo in loving memory of Steve Irwin.
16. Among many other disgusting and difficult jobs (including "chicken picking" just like NT Candy), I was also the receptionist at a rendering plant.
