Day 38
Two historic/memorial markers on the main (?) entrance to St. Anthony's School on Somerville Ave.
The first (and more historic, erected in 1890):
Headquarters of Brig-Gen. NATHANIEL GREENE, in command of Rhode Island Troops during Siege of Boston, 1775-6.
The second, a memorial, says,
~ In loving memory ~
P.F.C. MARTY FILOSI
Born April 6, 1920
Killed In Action
Venfero, Italy
Nov. 9, 1943
"He became immortal the day he died."
A quick Google search failed to yield any info as to who Filosi was.
