a-Pe(a)ling Macro Monday Challenge
The theme for this week's macro Monday is "a-peeling to me" - so I asked myself: how can I show macro bells, peeling?
It wasn't till later that I - lexicaly challenged - realised I'd hit a homonym mistaking peel for peal.
If you will accept the liberation from spelling:
This photo is an attempt to imply movement - and the bells really dit tinkle when shook.
so
#strobist notes: used an LP180 with honl traveller 8 to camera left with the diffuser barely turned towards bells. Triggered by off-camera (gh4 w 30mm macro) flash
I then left the shutter open pretty long - gave the bells a shake, snapped as they slowed down - flash fires a la Joe mcnally 2nd curtain.
again apologies for "sounds like" interpretation rather than lexical accuracy.
does this image kinda suggest bells a pealing? that may be appealing? without peeling?
