Founder Pasquale (Patsy) Lancieri trained under Gennaro Lombardi, the founder of America’s oldest pizzeria on Spring St. in Little Italy. Lancieri later bequeathed his craft to his nephew, Pasquale (Patsy) Grimaldi, who established a legendary pizzeria at Fulton Landing in Brooklyn. Lancieri’s widow was bought out by employees in 1991.
