Handsom Kooka

(Dacelo novaeguineae)

 

I captured this Kookaburra as it sat and surveyed (hence the look of concentration) its surroundings while sitting on a boundary fence around my yard. I wouldn't have been standing greater than 2 meters from the bird and had my zoom lens on my camera. Shot at 165mm, F2.8 and 1/200s.

 

Somewhere in the reflection in its eye, is me!
