good evening!

I got to sit and watch a cicada come out of his shell tonight - a very interesting process...

 

Ever so slowly the guy came out of his shell. (he was already about half out when i found him) Then he slowly unraveled his brand spankin' new super bright green wings.

 

I always found the empty shells when i was a kid, and they would make great jokes to stick on people shirts - they stick pretty well!

 

anyhow, welcome this little guy to the world... he'll be making some noise for us now.
