Community Slats

The second night of my Nevada excursion found me shooting in Caselton, a mostly abandoned mining town just over the hill from Pioche in the remote southeast corner of the state. Most of the houses and businesses that surrounded this community building are gone now, but this beautifully sunburned structure rots alone, in a stand of dense Manzanita trees.

Night, 120 second exposure. Full moon, natural and red-gelled flashlight.

Reprocessed and replaced, February 2023.
