Print shows an elderly man seated on a chair next to a bookshelf and a book on the floor opened to a page displaying the word "No..." Text on bookplate reads: "Guardabosque, I'm stingy, grown, whats mine's my own!" Handwritten inscription on back of plate indicates Woodward was in charge of the book department at Woodward & Lothrop Department Store, Washington, D.C.
