Castle Acre Priory

The West front of Castle Acre Priory in Norfolk.

The main priory building dates from 1090 onwards and is a fine example of Early English/Norman architecture. Its well preserved west front is pure 1100s with the exception of the central window modified in the 1400s.

Compare with the model in the previous image.
