Tonight I'm returning back to my beloved Italy, with an hidden gem that you can find in the heart of the Dolomites: the Federa Lake, near Cortina, is without any doubt one of the places to be if you're in the area during fall!
The lake is sorrounded by beautiful larches, that in this period of the year they turn yellow/red; if you're lucky enough, you'll get to see their perfect reflection in the crystal clear waters of the lake!
To arrive there on time for sunrise I put the alarm at 4.00 A.M. and with the total darkness and a creepy silence I started the hike; after a two-hours nice walk with tremendous panoramas (I found out that later when I was returning back with the sunlight 😂) I managed to arrive there on time for the very first lights of the day; while I was "enjoying" my breakfast with some Kinder Brioss and Coca Cola (the only things that I could put in my backpack) on a rock in the middle of the lake, I tried a few shots.. This is one of them! Hope you're gonna like it guys!

Stasera voglio ritornare nella mia Italia, con una perla che si trova nel cuore delle Dolomiti: il lago Federa, nei pressi di Cortina, è sicuramente uno dei posti da visitare se si è in quelle zone in autunno!
Il lago infatti è circondato da larici che in quel periodo prendono la loro tipica "veste" autunnale, passando dal giallo acceso per arrivare quasi al rosso; se si è fortunati potremo vederli specchiati nelle limpide acque del laghetto.
Per arrivare al lago in tempo per l'alba ho rimesso la sveglia alle 4 di mattina e col buio ed un silenzio inquietante mi sono messo in cammino; dopo una bella camminata (che era bella l'ho scoperto quando tornavo indietro con la luce eh 😂) di poco meno di due ore sono riuscito ad arrivare in tempo per le primissime luci del giorno; mentre mi "gustavo" la colazione con Kinder Brioss e Coca Cola (le uniche cose che mi entravano nello zaino) su un sasso in mezzo al lago provavo anche qualche scatto.. Questo è uno di quelli! Spero apprezziate!
