We took Apache back to the vet yesterday & got really good news!! She said according to his blood test levels he looks 'normal'! She said just going off the numbers he's a perfectly healthy dog. She's just concerned about his weight as are we. So he will have new goodies added to his k/d food; salmon fish oil, potatoes & rice. She said to continue that food for forever, & we need to get him to gain around 10lbs.
So overall I'm taking this as good news & thinking he might be able to be adopted!?!?! (Still needs to have a little more testing before this can be confirmed) Coy of course will be heartbroken, he's very attached to him & of course I love him also, but I really would like for him to be adopted so we can continue to save others in need.
She said he still has this kidney disease/failure, but the progression has slowed BIG time just from change in diet.
