Across the National Mall
Visible in this tele-panorama are, from left to right, The Capitol Building (home to the US Senate and the Congress), the foot of the Washington Monument (the obelisk in the foreground surrounded by flags)) , the Library of Congress (with the gold torch on top -- still the largest repository of books in the world), and 'The Castle" of the Smithsonian Institution.
This was taken from the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. Essentially it is a panorama of one side of the National Mall, taken from the other. I took another long shot of The Capitol dome from the World War II Memorial (almost half the distance) during my last visit.
