The Enchanted Tower
A small medieval castle built for the #letsbuildmedieval challenge hosted by @brickhuntress and @bbgforge on Instagram.
When this challenge was announced my mind immediately went to building a pink and purple castle. something like the Fiercely Girly Castle I built for the Eurobricks "Ready, Set, Escargot!" collaborative for BrickWorld Chicago 2016, but without the snail and not in white. I went searching for small castles for inspiration and came across a picture of an old water tower in Ermelo, in the Netherlands.
As a nod to it having been a water tower, I wanted to put a moat around it. Which of course meant that it needed a drawbridge. Although, technically, any old bridge would have sufficed given the castle is protected by magic anyway.
