Water Slide
What can I say ... Two weeks on a bus, touring the West Coast with eight other guys, then a week in San Francisco immediately after. I love my job, but I was baked. Then came an opportunity for an appointment in Orlando, FL. It didn't take long to turn around and ask Marna if she wanted to take Paige to Disney. It's earlier than we anticipated, but a family vacation was long overdue.
We made our way to Orlando on Monday. We couldn't get three seats together, but were hoping Paige would sleep the almost four hour flight away. Amazingly, she stayed awake the entire time, but she was also on her best behavior. It was almost as though she knew that she needed to be good. Well, either that, or the threat of not going to see Cinderella's castle (smile).
We're staying at the Caribe Royale, which is a hotel Marna visit on a business trip a long time ago. She remembered that they had suites, and that the pool was really cool. Although the room is a little smallish, there a 24-hour on-premises cafe that is great. True to Marna's history of having a vice-like mind, the pool was great! It has a bunch of waterfalls, lots of space, and a fun water slide that's just perfect for Paige and Dad.
The current schedule is to visit Disney's Magic Kingdom on Wednesday, SeaWorld on Thursday, and Orlando's Science Center on Friday. We haven't quite yet figured out Saturday, which may simply be a day to relax. We return back home on Sunday. I've got a week in the office, and then the bus tour picks up again in Atlanta.
