1335C. tight trim stereo LMNTS reduced

this is to introduce a new grouping of works very specific to a project i was drafted into in november 2o22.

LMNTS will be an anthology of Canadian extralinearature quite unlike any of the 4o-odd anthologies of "concrete poetry" that've preceded it since the 1st such volume – David Aylward & bpNichol's SYNAPSIS: a prelude – in 1966. its editorial board is comprised of Daniel f.Bradley, Hart Broudy, jwcurry & Marshall Hryciuk, who between them have just short of 2oo combined years of intensive experience far outside the mainstream of Canadian literature as both writers & publishers of extralinear writing. it will include 125 works by 8o artists accustomed to working with language as materiel through a wide variety of genrificational approaches (more often than not 2 or more simultaneously/integratedly).

this LMNTS "album" features selected outtakes from photoshoots toward individual pages, contexts of appearances of some of the included works, colour originals (the printed anthology will be in black on white), & other randomly-related relevancies. please see the album description for further information.

this particular instance:

a rejected outtake from my first experimental photoshoot toward possible title lettering for the front cover. besides the kerning problems, the image is simply too wide as a stereographic pair to allow the lettering to have an ambitious presence. a further shoot repositioned the letters & puzzlepieces & abandoned the stereo pairing in favour of a fuller width to the individual word.
