Sears' brand-new (only open since last October) prototype store holding a surprise fire sale before closing in April -- an unexpected victim of their bankruptcy, as apparently the reformed company acquired by Eddie Lampert decided to stop paying the contractors who built this fancy emporium under the old company. A lien was placed on it, they liquidated in less than a week.

 

I was stopped by an Oakbrook Terrace cop after shooting this single photo.
