Pointing 2 Perseus (self portrait)
30-second exposure... self portrait of me pointing a green laser at the constellation Perseus during the 2010 Perseid Meteor Shower.
I'm trying to wring a few extra meteors out of Perseus ...it didn't work!
This was taken at the Bayfront Park in Anna Maria Florida, overlooking Tampa Bay. The Sunshine Skyway Bridge can be seen on the horizon.
I shot some 300 images during this meteor shower, and did not snag a single decent meteor! Oh well. Next time! (A 19-second time lapse movie of all of the images can be seen here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=u9Us_1WsTdk&hd=1 )
