My main scope. Celestron C8.

This is a Celestron C8 from the 90's. Not sure what year but the mount is crap even though it has sidereal tracking. Its great for visual use and I hook my camera to this. I got it for $400 off of craigslist. I plan to do some shoestring tweaks to the hand controller for autoguideing. I thinking that a second guide scope may be too much weight for this and I'll go the route of off axis guideing. I also need to fix some mechanical drag that is occuring in the right accension. So far all polar alignments made with this thing fail for photography I belive this is due to mechanical drag. I also have a dec motor but need to make a few mods to get that working correctly. Opticaly this thing should be pretty good for galaxies and smaller nebula. High amounts of mag and you can really see some optical imperfections. Especially with a 5x barlow.
