I have to admit, the design fascinates me. I made my first visit to The Bullring Shopping Centre at the weekend, and took a few shots. No, there's no train in view either.
The redevelopment of the original Bull Ring development in Birmingham in the 60's was completed in 2003. To me, the most impactful part is the Selfridges store, which is clad with 15,000 shiny aluminium discs, supposedly inspired by a Paco Rabanne sequined dress! The store is connected to a multi storey car park by The Parametric Bridge, a 37 metre long curved structure covered in polycarbonate.
