Ruins of Argentine silver smelter

Argentine began as an unincorporated community that grew up around a silver smelter in Wyandotte County KS. The area was later annexed by Kansas City, Kansas and became part of that city. The area shown was flooded badly several times by the Kansas River, lastly in 1951.
