Major Matt Collins (KIA)
The late Major Matt Collins (centre) of the 1st Bn Irish Guards, dscussing plans with Colonel Humayoun of the Afghan National Army's 3/215 Corps, during the first day of Operation Opmid IV, upstream of Gereshk, in Helmand, Afghanistan. Major Collins, from Backwell in Somerset, was killed by an improvised explosive device alongside Lance Sergeant Mark Burgan on Wednesday 23 March, 2011.
