Mam Tor Frost
Last week I did quite a rare thing and went up Mam Tor. While I don't dismiss its beauty, it's a location I have shot almost enough and so have many others. However, I found myself here while practising for another personal project.
The sunrise was quite a nice affair but actually around 30 minutes after it got even better, the mist started to build up in the valley (just out of frame in this composition) and the cloud rolled in which is always good news. There was a 5 minute window where all this came together and the frost on the rocks hadn't melted, so I took the opportunity to take this scene.
Reminded me how nice Mam Tor can be especially given it's easy accessibility.
