Mandalpatti - This place is located 19 km away from Madikeri town, Karnataka. You may have to stop your vehicle 3.4 km away and catch a local jeep if you are not driving a good SUV. Trust me this 3.4 km stretch is adventurous. it was 6:15 AM and we had a visibility of less than 5 meters. You will learn how the mist is changing to water at one location because of the wind. We visited mid April and probably in the time during monsoon it would have been much more green and more mist. The mountains were getting erased so quickly. No food available anywhere, carry water and food. Not much crowded. Your GPS can't help until you have a custom map. And we waited till 8 AM to get a glimpse of gorgeous sunrise due to heavy mist all around, and we could see sunrise just for a while and captured this shot.
