One of my all-time favorite hits. This song actually motivated me to get on a plane in the mid 60s and fly to Memphis to hear it in Memphis. It was about a three-day celebration as I shuffled to one bar after another drinking and enjoying life. My Flickr friend, Richard (rchrdstranger), mentioned your photos and your fondness for 60s music, thus I would like to invite you to join a new group, SONGS OF THE 60s, I started a few days ago.
Thanks to Affendaddy's Flickr image of Johnny Rivers MEMPHIS TENNESSEE-D-1964.
According to Klaus Hiltsher, Johnny Rivers did a lot of Chuck Berry songs. I remember both. Both numbers provided much joyful rockin' sounds for all of us who were keeping time with our toes or out there dancing with pretty women between our mugs of beer or shots of Jack Daniels.
It was the right music for the right time. Thanks to all who can appreciate this music of the past that somehow slipped out of the public ear.

Again, another photo that reminds me and those my age of a time called "the atomic age."
What most people do not understand is that we have advanced far beyond the atomic age.
Great shot, Nick--you pick some really significant subjects.
NO, I REALLY WAS NOT AT THIS SPECIFIC BAR, BUT I HAVE BEEN IN MANY WITH THE SAME NAME--ESPECIALLY IN JAPAN.
Nothing here yet.
