Georgetown Then & Now: Even long before the days of Georgetown University Outdoor Education and their GOPOP programs, Hoyas have benefitted from the wealth of natural beauty on campus. In this 1889 photo from the Georgetown Archives, students are pictured hanging out on the Walks, a series of paths, terraces and trails developed by a Maryland Jesuit and farmer named Joseph West who made a gift to Georgetown to expand the campus footprint.
