For most people, reaching the summit of Mount Everest would be the culmination of the ultimate fantasy trek. But in 2000, when Francis Slakey (C'85) stood on Everest's summit, it was just one of 11 steps in his quest to be the first person to both climb the highest mountain on every continent and surf every ocean.
