At last night's 2014 Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame induction ceremony, Alonzo Mourning (C'92) gave a beautiful acceptance speech reflecting on how the selflessness of others--especially his Georgetown mentor Coach John Thompson--helped him overcome adversity at every turn. "I am not supposed to be on this stage, considering what life threw at me. But other people gave a piece of themselves to a kid from Virginia who didn't understand how important selflessness truly was until it saved his life." Congratulations, Zo, and thank you for being a true Hoya for others. Watch his full speech from last night here: j.mp/1q2wlzZ #HoyaSaxa ift.tt/1vqvWQr
