Obsolete Calculators
Remember when we used to rely on calculators for every math problem? Well, times have changed and now we hardly use them any more. Why is that? There are a few reasons.
First of all, we have smartphones that can do much more than just basic calculations. We can use apps that can solve complex equations, graph functions, convert units, and even do symbolic algebra. Plus, we can access the internet and find answers to almost any question we have.
Secondly, we have learned to appreciate the value of mental math and estimation skills. We realize that calculators are not always accurate or reliable, and sometimes they can even give us wrong answers. We also know that being able to do mental math can help us in many situations, such as shopping, budgeting, or tipping.
Thirdly, we have become more confident and curious about math. We don't see math as something boring or scary, but as something fun and creative. We like to challenge ourselves and explore different ways of solving problems. We don't need calculators to tell us the answer, we want to figure it out ourselves.
