Radial Balance
This photo demonstrates radial balance because the center point, the top opening of the stairs, expands out in all directions. It continues from the center and continues to make the radial effect of the image.
This photo was taken in unnatural lighting, as it was taken outside. The dynamics is simple, as you simply follow the stairs up. The point of view is worm's eye view, as we are looking up. Repetition is present in the design of the hand rail, as the Y like shape is repeated.

Equal Balance/Symmetry
This photo shows equal balance and symmetry because the visual weight is equally distributed. The line from the bricks on the ground is the line of symmetry and it equally divides the image.
This image is unnatural lighting since the lights are coming from the man made street lights. The light is also above lighting, as seen from the reflection on the bricks. The point of is eye level, as you can see from the street lights.

Unbalance/Asymmetry
This photo demonstrates unbalance and asymmetry because the house is clearly placed on the left of the photo, and an identical structure is not placed on the other side. This creates a heavier visual weight on the right side of the image.
This image was taken in natural lighting, since it was taken outside, and the lighting was right lighting, as you can see in the shadow to the left of the shack. The subject is single emphasis and the positioning is right.
HeatherK_S13_P1_3 says:
Unstable
This photo is unstable because the positioning of the jumping man is not centered, throwing off the balance of visual weight. Then his position is unnatural, adding to the unbalance. Should the photo be undone, we know he'd continue his jump and fall, meaning he isn't stable.
This photo was taken in natural lighting, as it was taken outside. It was taken in right lighting, as you can see by the shadow on the left side of his body. The emphasis is one subject and the point of view is eye level, as he isn't above or below us.

Flat/Compressed Space
This photo demonstrates flat/compressed space because the two twigs demonstrate two separate layers, but the space behind it is out of focus, giving it a flat appearance.
The subject placing is left and the emphasis is multiple subjects. The dynamics is simple as the branches coming out of the main branch create a bridge like structure, leading your eyes to the other braces.
HeatherK_S13_P1_3 says:
Negative as Subject
This photo demonstrates negative as subject because while the woman playing the instrument is the subject, the shadow of her on the wall also draws your interest.
The positioning is left, as that's where the woman is, and the lighting is right, as you can see as the left side has shadows. The emphasis is singular subject and the dynamics is simple, as following the subject leads you to the shadow.
HeatherK_S13_P1_3 says:
Positive as Subject
This photo demonstrates positive as subject because the subject, the flower, is what draws your eye, and the background is plain. Thus, the flower is the only thing that gains your attention.
The subject in at bottom centering and the texture is smooth, as there is no changes in the highlighting/shadows. The point of view is worm's eye view, as it is viewed form below. The emphasis is singular subject, as the flower is the only subject.
HeatherK_S13_P1_3 says:
Visual Depth
This photo demonstrates visual depth because rows of boats show several layers clearly with the crispness of the image. By clearly demonstrating several layers, this image demonstrates Visual Depth.
This image is Crosses 3 X's center, as it crosses the left two X's and the bottom right X. The lighting is right, as you can see on the back boats, where the shadow is on the left side. The emphasis is multiple subjects.
