Santa Luzia (PB), 13.dez.2023 - The Quilombola Community of Talhados, adorned by the chapel of São José, experiences a reality opposite to the prosperity reported by the residents of the Pinga village. The explosions carried out for the installation of wind structures cracked all the cisterns, essential for life in the semi-arid region, while also causing siltation in part of the community's reservoir. Already emptied due to the lack of opportunities, the small village has witnessed the departure of more and more residents and young people, threatening the survival of the centuries-old quilombo in the near future.
