At the Morton on Marsh Country Fair 2007, the first world record for the biggest-ever folk dance was set by over a dozen different morris sides from all around the country. Organised by the Illmington Morris, the dance was a local variation on the traditional Shepard's Hey and was played by an assortment of musicians connected with the various groups, playing together for the first time.

The fair itself was for me a disturbingly compelling journey through the lives of the rural upper class. Two local hunts had tents where you could pet baby hounds and talk about how much you loved cute fluffy animals, and the cuntryside alliance had a stall to promote their 'fight the ban' campaign. One area contained a display of vintage military vehicles, another a display of vintage tractors. I ventured only a few feet into the poultry tent before being repulsed by the caged hell that confronted me...
