How Are You Doing?

Location

Salisbury (England).

Subject

The elderly strolling on the streets, with nothing to do, gazing at working men—often disturbing them with useless questions and advice—is an almost universal theme in life, jokes and photography. In Italy, this kind of passer-by has become an iconic figure called Umarèll [little man, in a northern Italian dialect, in a sense between affectionate and derogatory]. British people, although having a long tradition in respecting each other's privacy, are no exception.
