Inspection Date Stamped on the Inside of my Fluorescent Shoplight

Inspection Date Stamped inside my Fluorescent Shoplight...May,3,1968...so this is kinda old...and i suspect the inspection date is when the Fixture was inspected upon leaving the Assembly Line to see if it met all standards.
