FIRST Robotics Competitors goofing off
Each year, FIRST comes up with a task for those who join the competition. This year, contestants were asked to place these plastic tube tetrahedrons onto 5' tall tetrahedrons, using all of the company's standard gearing and motors, and a standard control board and microprocessor which provides 16 servo outs, and 16 binary outs. I was impressed with how fast this orange bot - the only one still demonstrating at this hour - was tooling around. It had the speed and maneuverability more typical of a small Tyco RC car.
