I would like share my conversation with Alain Briot (author of Fine Art, Workshops,http://www.beautiful-landscape.com/Portfolios_home.html)
"Never hesitate to add things if it makes the photograph stronger. Nature can only do so much. Plus, nature isn't thinking in terms of "good photographs!" Quite often we have to help the composition so that it looks good as a photograph.
Nature is only "thinking" in terms of "nature" which is geological, botanical, zoological and other forces at work. Nature doesn't see itself as "pretty" or "not pretty". Nature just is.
Aesthetics is a human construction. Nature never intended us to hang photographs of it on our walls! We therefore have to organize the chaos of nature into a visual reality that expresses our emotions.
We have to express ourselves by bringing part of us into the final print, or final image."
***for this shot i threw in there a bamboo stem/leaves to have a sensible foreground. Looking back at the other images i also added/enhanced in there foreground to help out the image.
