Experimental Vehicle 'Brutus' (1917)

This experimental vehicle was built around a BMW airplane engine and is property of the Auto & Technik Museum in Sinsheim, Germany.

I’ve seen and heard this car perform last year and it was really impressive. All the more since it was built almost 100 years ago.

For the technicians among us: it’s a BMW VI 60 degree V12, it’s peak output is 750 HP at 1700 rpm, the displacement is 46,5 litres (2835 cui). The engine was originally designed for airplanes and used in the Dornier Whale, the Do-117, the Focke-Wulf A-29 and the Heinkel He-111 and He-70.
